Los Angeles had professional baseball long before the Dodgers arrived from Brooklyn. The Angelinos were established in 1899 as part of the Southern California League, playing in an era when the game was still raw and regional. They helped plant baseball's roots deep in Los Angeles soil.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched black serif text reads "SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LEAGUE" above star-flanked "BASEBALL CLUB" and "LOS ANGELES," all in black. Red cursive script reads "Angelinos" with a swoosh underline, overlapped by a black woodcut-style batter in mid-swing. A small black and red baseball diamond icon reads "ESTABLISHED" and "1899" in distressed texture.
