Titusville sat at the crossroads of space age wonder and tiki culture through the 1960s, when engineers and astronauts unwound beneath thatch roofs after launches at Cape Canaveral. Polynesian pop lounges along U.S. 1 South became gathering places where rocket science met rum drinks. Few towns ever fused two American obsessions so naturally.
