New Playdium stood at 2625 North Clark Street in Chicago's Wrightwood corridor. Opening during the postwar bowling boom of the 1950s, its thirty streamlined lanes drew league bowlers and weekend regulars alike. Places like this anchored a neighborhood, turning strangers into teammates one frame at a time. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
The Details:
Red script text reads "New" above bold black block letters reading "PLAYDIUM," with golden-tan bowling pin silhouettes behind the typography.
