Ogden's Lobsters took the field around 1900 in the Utah-Idaho Intermountain League, bringing competitive baseball to a rugged railroad town. Ogden, Utah was a crossroads city, and its early teams gave working families something to rally around on summer evenings. Some clubs lasted decades, but even the brief ones left their mark on a community's identity. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched black serif text reads "OGDEN LOBSTERS" flanked by two red stars. A cartoon red lobster mascot with a wide grin and antennae hoists a barbell overhead with its claws. Black text reads "Ogden" and "Utah" on either side, with "EST" and "1900" flanking a small baseball, and curved text at the base reading "UTAH-IDAHO INTERMOUNTAIN BASEBALL LEAGUE."
