Orlando's Gulls took the field in 1937 as part of the Florida State League. Central Florida was still a patchwork of citrus groves and small towns back then. Minor league ball wasn't just entertainment, it was the thread that stitched those communities together through long, humid summers. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
