Pendleton's Buckaroos joined the Western Tri-State League in 1912, bringing Class D baseball to rugged eastern Oregon. Already famous for its rodeo, Pendleton was a ranching town that lived and breathed toughness. A ballclub just gave folks one more reason to gather on summer evenings. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Golden-yellow arched text reads "PENDLETON, OREGON" beside a small Oregon state outline with a blue star, above a cartoon cowboy mascot in a yellow hat and blue shirt holding a bat over his shoulder. Dark brown script reads "Buckaroos" with a baseball swoosh tail, above large golden-yellow numerals "1912" with "Established In" alongside. Block text below reads "WESTERN TRI-STATE LEAGUE, CLASS D BASEBALL" in distressed vintage lettering.
