Philipsburg fielded its Burgers in the Montana State League back in 1892, when small mining towns across the West built identity around local ball clubs. Nestled in the mountains of western Montana, this Class B squad gave a silver mining community something to rally behind beyond the mines. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched golden-yellow outlined text reads "PHILIPSBURG" above large bold serif lettering "BURGERS." A vintage hand-drawn anthropomorphic hamburger mascot in a baseball cap walks mid-stride carrying a bat, rendered in golden-yellow ink. Below, "18" and "92" flank the mascot, with "MONTANA STATE LEAGUE," "CLASS B BASESALL CLUB," and "PHILIPSBURG, MONT." stacked beneath.
