Opening in 1955 on the Las Vegas Strip, the Riviera was the first high-rise to break the desert skyline. Sin City was trading dusty western motifs for big-city glamour, and the Riviera led the way. Six decades of headliners made its showroom a cornerstone of American nightlife until the lights went dark in 2015. Some landmarks outlive their buildings. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
