Seguin's Toros played just one season in the Gulf States League in 1976, a brief chapter in Texas minor league history. Class A ball in a small town meant everything, where the diamond was the center of summer life. Some teams last decades, but Seguin's lone season left a mark that outlived the franchise itself. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed white block text reads "SEGUIN TOROS" above a vintage cartoon illustration of a brown bull gripping a baseball bat in its mouth, set against a tan circle and flanked by "19" and "76" in golden-brown numerals. White block text below reads "GULF STATES LEAGUE" and "CLASS A BASEBALL." Golden-brown cursive script at the bottom reads "Seguin, Texas."
