Shore Lanes stood along U.S. 19 South in Clearwater, Florida, back when that highway corridor was the lifeblood of the Gulf Coast. During the 1960s and 1970s, bowling alleys like this one anchored entire neighborhoods. Families, league bowlers, and snowbirds all found their way through those doors, drawn by a roadside sign you could spot from half a mile out. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
The Details:
Vintage roadside sign illustration depicts a white bowling pin with dark vertical text reading "BOWL," flanked by two orange poles, with seafoam clouds behind it. A white banner displays "Shore Lanes" in dark serif lettering, above a smaller rectangular marquee reading "OPEN BOWLING." White text below reads "U.S. 19 SOUTH," "CLEARWATER, FLORIDA," and "PHONE 446-1031."
