Striking Lanes stood at the corner of Golf and Elmhurst Roads in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, a mid-century gathering place where suburban families and league bowlers found their rhythm. Opened during the great bowling boom of the 1950s and 1960s, it was the kind of neighborhood alley that gave the northwest suburbs their identity. Some corners just hold a town together. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
