The Taunton Herrings were established in 1897, representing Taunton, Massachusetts with a name that tipped the cap to the city’s historic herring runs. As part of the New England League during baseball’s gritty early era, they brought hardball action to the heart of Bristol County at a time when mill workers filled the stands and local pride was everything. This design is part of our old school retro baseball series, with original branding reimagined by m00nshot for the forgotten Minor League teams of yesteryear.
