La Cienega Boulevard's Restaurant Row in Los Angeles was a dining destination unlike any other through the 1950s and 1960s. The Islander stood among its finest, serving exotic Polynesian cuisine in an atmosphere that transported guests across the Pacific. Some restaurants feed you.
