Dayton, Ohio once had its own slice of Polynesian escape on North Main Street. Opening during the tiki bar craze of the 1960s, the Tropics transported working-class regulars to a world of rum drinks and island fantasy. Places like this gave ordinary neighborhoods something exotic to call their own. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
