Youngstown's Gremlins played Class C ball in the Middle Atlantic League starting in 1946, bringing minor league baseball back to a steel town hungry for it. In postwar Ohio, these teams weren't just entertainment. They were proof that life was returning to normal, that summer nights could belong to something joyful again. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed white text reads "YOUNGSTOWN" above a cartoon gremlin in a baseball cap marked "Y," paired with large script lettering reading "Gremlins" and a swooping tail. Below, white numerals read "1946" followed by "MIDDLE ATLANTIC LEAGUE," "CLASS C BASEBALL," and "Youngstown, Ohio" in mixed block and cursive text.
