Zim's Hamburgers was a beloved San Francisco institution that served the city's families for over three decades starting in 1947. Founded in the post-war boom era, this local chain became synonymous with quality broiled burgers and their famous hot apple pie, establishing multiple locations throughout the Bay Area during the 1950s and 60s. The restaurant was known for its family-friendly atmosphere and consistently high-quality food that made it a neighborhood staple across San Francisco. When Zim's finally closed its doors in the early 1980s, it left behind a legacy as one of the city's most cherished homegrown burger joints. The Details:
