Clifton's Cafeterias served Depression-era Los Angeles with a radical promise: pay what you can, or eat free. Opening on Broadway and Olive Street in the 1930s, these landmarks fed both bodies and spirits for over eight decades. Some restaurants serve meals; Clifton's served dignity. Part of our Vintage Restaurant collection, celebrating the classic American menus of yesteryear.
The Details:
