Elgin's Watch Makers took the diamond in 1915 as a Class D club in the Bi-State League. Elgin, Illinois had built its name on precision timepieces, and its baseball team carried that identity onto every small-town field. Some clubs represented a city. This one represented an entire industry.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
