Bahooka Ribs & Grog stood as a temple of tiki culture in Rosemead, California, from 1976 until its closing in 2013. Hundreds of exotic fish tanks glowed between carved totems and tropical darkness. Few restaurants anywhere carried the Polynesian fantasy that far, or held a community's loyalty that long. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
The Details:
Golden-tan text at the top reads "BAHOOKA RIBS & GROG" in a bold Polynesian-style typeface. Four tiki totem illustrations stand side by side below, each with unique carved faces and tribal patterns in a vintage hand-drawn style, with vertical text reading "BAHOOKA" nestled between them. Spaced lettering at the bottom reads "ROSEMEAD, CALIFORNIA."
