Costa Mesa's drive-in was a family venue and a makeout pit at the same time, and everyone politely agreed not to look at the fogged-up Buick. The lot got paved over for something with valet, and this shirt is basically a tombstone with good typography.
The Details:
Lettering in distressed mustard yellow reads "paulo" in lowercase with an elongated "p" descender, above white hand-lettered text reading "DRIVE-IN THEATER." White text reads "EST.1949" beside a hand-drawn white vintage sedan over a mustard yellow trapezoid with a jagged lower edge. Mustard yellow hand-lettered text reads "COSTA MESA, CALIF."
