Prodigy was IBM and Sears selling dial-up under the slogan Interactive Personal Service, which now sounds like a hotline billed by the minute. The brand died to free AOL discs but helped spawn Section 230, so every regrettable comment section is its grandchild.
The Details:
Star logo for Prodigy appears as a cyan-blue hand-drawn brushstroke, with overlapping lines leaving an open pentagon at the center and a tail extending upward past the top point. Large lemon-yellow serif capitals read "PRODIGY." Smaller lemon-yellow serif text below reads "Interactive Personal Service."
