Opening in 1946 on the Las Vegas Strip, the Flamingo brought a new kind of luxury to a desert highway. Postwar America was hungry for glamour, and this resort answered with showrooms, headliners, and a nightlife that ran until dawn. Before the megaresorts, the Flamingo proved the Strip could be a destination. Every resort since owes it a debt. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
