Cleveland's Green Sox competed in the Federal League, a bold upstart circuit that challenged baseball's establishment beginning in 1913. Operating out of Ohio during an era when independent leagues dared to rival the majors, the club represented a forgotten chapter of Cleveland's deep baseball roots. Some teams vanish from the record books but never from the city's soul. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
