Jackson's Railroaders took the diamond in 1903 as a Class D club in the Kentucky Illinois Tennessee League. Railroad towns across Tennessee lived and died with their ball clubs in that era. Jackson gave its working folks something worth showing up for on long summer evenings.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched white serif text reads "JACKSON, TENN" above a vintage cartoon mascot in light blue overalls and cap swinging a bat, flanked by olive text reading "CLASS D BASEBALL" and muted gold text reading "ESTD IN 1903."
