Lincoln, Illinois fielded the Abes in 1910, a Class D club in the Illinois-Missouri League. Small town teams like these were the backbone of organized baseball, giving communities something to rally around long before television changed everything. Each one left its mark. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched white serif text reads "LINCOLN" at the top, with light blue text "ESTD" and "1910" flanking a cartoon Abraham Lincoln in a top hat with stars, running with a bat, rendered in white and light blue.
