Hacienda Hotels began as a string of California roadside stops in Bakersfield, Fresno, and Indio before reaching the Las Vegas Strip in 1956. Anchoring the south end, it greeted families arriving from Los Angeles after the long desert drive. Working folks were welcomed there, not just high rollers. The 1996 implosion closed a chapter of old Las Vegas. Part of our Vintage Las Vegas collection, celebrating the defunct golden era venues of yesteryear.
The Details:
Rough-edged black hand-drawn text reads "HACIENDA" with a mustard-gold star above the "i." A distressed black and mustard-gold illustration of a charro horseman raising one arm atop a rearing horse sits between hand-lettered "HOTELS" and "MOTELS." Spaced black sans-serif text reads "BAKERSFIELD," "INDIO," "LAS VEGAS," and "FRESNO" in a dot-separated V with a small diamond at its point.
