Firecliff Lodge stood as a gathering place in Palm Desert during the 1950s and 1960s, when desert modernism was reshaping the greater Palm Springs landscape. Cocktails and dining under the open sky felt like a promise the desert always kept. Some lodges became landmarks not for their size, but for the era they embodied.
