Tonga Room has been transporting San Francisco visitors to a tropical paradise since opening inside the Fairmont Hotel in 1945. Born from a converted indoor swimming pool, it became one of the most beloved tiki bars in America. Few places anywhere have kept the spirit of midcentury Polynesian dining alive for nearly eight decades. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
The Details:
Large golden-orange bamboo-style lettering reads "Tonga" with white outlines. Below, smaller golden-orange italic serif text reads "ISLAND DINING" with white text reading "AT THE." Elegant white script reads "Fairmont" above golden-orange bold sans-serif text reading "HOTEL AND TOWER" and "SAN FRANCISCO."
