Kahala Terrace brought the Polynesian restaurant craze to Northbrook, Illinois, during the tiki boom of the 1960s. Nestled in the White Plains Shopping Center on Dundee Road, it offered suburban families a taste of South Pacific escapism. Places like this turned strip mall storefronts into tropical sanctuaries for an entire generation. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
