Anaheim's Valencias played Class C ball in the Sunset League beginning in 1947, named for the Valencia oranges that defined the region. Orange groves still stretched for miles across Southern California then, and a local baseball club meant everything to a growing community.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
