Atlantic City's Lanks took the diamond in 1912 as part of the Tri-State League's Class B circuit. Baseball along the Jersey Shore carried a different weight back then, tied to boardwalk summers and working-class pride. Some teams vanish from the record books but never fully leave the ground they played on.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed dark green script text reads "Atlantic City," above "NEW JERSEY" in small spaced capitals. An olive and khaki vintage hand-drawn illustration of a baseball player leaning on a bat appears beside large dark green serif block letters reading "Lanks" with "1912" below. Smaller dark green text reads "CLASS B BASEBALL" and "TRI-STATE LEAGUE" at the bottom.
