Berkeley's Clarions joined the Central California League as a Class D club in 1910. East Bay baseball ran deep in those years, with small towns fielding teams that packed wooden grandstands on summer evenings. Long before the counterculture era, Berkeley was a baseball town first. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
