Clarksville's Colts joined the Kentucky Illinois Tennessee League in 1947, playing Class D ball in a small town that lived and breathed the game. Nestled along the Tennessee border, Clarksville gave young players a stage and gave locals something to rally around on warm summer nights. Minor league clubs like these were the soul of postwar American baseball.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
