Clinton's Pilots took the field in eastern Iowa as a Class A Midwest League club during the late 1960s and into the 1970s. Minor league baseball in small river towns meant everything back then. Teams like the Pilots gave Clinton a place on the map and summer nights worth remembering. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
A golden-yellow ship's wheel with eight pointed spokes surrounds a white circle containing vertical retro-styled text reading "PILOTS." Distressed white block letters read "CLINTON" above golden-yellow italic serif text reading "Mid-West League." Distressed white text below reads "1970" alongside "CLASS 'A' BASEBALL."
