Frontier Hotel staked its claim on the Las Vegas Strip in 1942, one of the earliest gambling halls in that stretch of desert. Before mega-resorts reshaped the skyline, places like the Frontier defined what Vegas meant. Six decades of Nevada history lived there before it closed in 2007.
