Garduno's has been serving Montebello since 1961, when Space Age optimism shaped everything from architecture to restaurant signs. Born from the era of drive-ins and bold flavors, it carved its own lane fusing pastrami and tacos into something the community claimed as its own. Some restaurants feed a neighborhood, others define it. Part of our Vintage Restaurant collection, celebrating the classic American menus of yesteryear.
The Details:
Distressed mid-century sign illustration shows a diamond-shaped panel with "Gar.Duno's" in multicolor hand-drawn lettering of red, green, blue, and yellow, flanked by two red circular ornaments on vertical poles. A rectangular panel below reads "THE WORLD'S BEST..." above large red serif "Pastrami" text. Yellow banner text reads "TACOS" at left, with "Since 1961" in yellow script at right.
