Grand Rapids fielded the Cabinet Makers in 1898, a Class B club in the Interstate League named for the furniture trade that built the city. Michigan's furniture capital poured its working-class pride into that diamond. Some teams carried a city's name, but this one carried its identity. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched light blue distressed serif text reads "CABINET MAKERS" across the top. A coral-red distressed illustration of a batter in mid-swing overlaps a yellow Michigan silhouette, flanked by two yellow stars, with dark red text reading "EST. 1898" to the left. Dark red text reads "INTERSTATE LEAGUE" above yellow block text reading "CLASS B BALL CLUB" and yellow script reading "Grand Rapids, Michigan."
