In 1939 the Greenville Buckshots took the field in the Cotton States League as Greenville, Mississippi’s pride, posting a 61–75 record and finishing fifth under managers James Powell, Harry Whitehouse, and Paul Archiopoli. They played their home games at Recreation Park and were at that time affiliated with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Though the team (also known as the Bucks or Buckshots) existed intermittently from the 1920s through 1955, those mid-century years in the Deep South remain a vivid chapter in minor league lore. This design is inspired by the retro vintage defunct baseball teams of yesteryear, featuring original branding by m00nshot for teams that never had any. Printed on our warm & cozy heavyweight unisex sweatshirt. We print & ship all of our high quality graphic sweatshirts in the USA.
