Hackney's stood as a seafood institution on the Atlantic City boardwalk, dating back to the 1930s when the Jersey Shore was America's playground. Diners sat overlooking the ocean, eating fish pulled fresh from the same waters they watched through the windows. Few restaurants ever captured a place and its culture so completely.
