Holland's Wooden Shoes took the diamond in 1910, playing in the Michigan State League during an era when small town baseball was almost sacred. Named for the Dutch heritage that built Holland, Michigan, the club carried a community's identity into every game. Some teams represented a city, but the Wooden Shoes represented a culture. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched distressed orange text reads "HOLLAND, MICH." with "ESTD" and "1910" flanking a weathered orange illustration of a wood-grain Dutch clog with a baseball resting on top. Bold distressed orange text below reads "WOODEN SHOES BASEBALL CLUB." Cursive orange script reads "Michigan State League" above a small chevron ornament.
