Hollywood Bowling Lanes stood at the corner of 67th Avenue and Queens Boulevard in Rego Park, a thirty-lane house that anchored the neighborhood through the mid-twentieth century. Housed inside the Metropolitan Bank Building, the place was equal parts bowling alley, cocktail lounge, and community gathering spot. Queens knew it not just as recreation, but as ritual. Part of our Retro Bowling collection, featuring the defunct alleys of yesteryear.
