Hutchinson claimed its place in Kansas semi-pro baseball when the Elks fielded their club in 1934. During the Depression, towns across the Great Plains poured pride into local ball teams that gave communities something to rally around. Hutchinson was no different, and the Elks carried that weight with dignity. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
