Tommy Lee's Islander on Pacific Avenue in Stockton stood as a temple to mid-century Polynesian escapism. Opening during the tiki bar craze of the 1950s and 1960s, it transported Central Valley regulars to a world of rum drinks and tropical fantasy. Places like this weren't just bars, they were portals to somewhere far away. Part of our Vintage Tiki collection, celebrating the defunct golden era bars of yesteryear.
