The Lafayette Farmers represented Indiana’s agricultural heartland when they joined the professional baseball scene in 1910. Playing with the same grit and determination found in the fields surrounding their hometown, the Farmers became a symbol of small-town pride and the growing popularity of America’s pastime across the Midwest.
