Lafayette's Farmers represented small-town Indiana baseball at its purest, competing in the Northern State of Indiana League around 1910. Class D ball was the foundation of the minor league system, where local boys played for local pride. Towns like Lafayette built their summers around these clubs, and losing them meant losing something irreplaceable.
Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
