Lake Charles was a Louisiana lumber and rice port in 1906 when the Creoles became the city's first professional baseball team. They entered the Class C South Texas League as the circuit's only out-of-state franchise, playing home games at Athletic Field and finishing dead last at 30-94 under a rotation of three managers (Denny Lyons, Ed Switzer, and Dick Latham). The South Texas League folded after that 1906 season, and the Creoles moved on to the Gulf Coast League for a final two-year run before disbanding. Athletic Field went on to serve as a spring training site for the Philadelphia Athletics.

The Details:
Cream and coral print on a deep maroon ground, built around an illustration of an upright crawfish mascot in a ballcap and uniform, hoisting a bat over its shoulder. The full inscription reads "Lake Charles, Louisiana," "Creoles," "1906," "Class C Baseball Club," and "South Texas League," with the team name in a flowing script and a small wave motif separating the league line. The print carries a softly distressed vintage finish.
