Middletown's Orange Blossoms played in the Eastern Association around 1909, representing a small New York city during baseball's deadball era. Semi-pro and minor league clubs like this one were the lifeblood of their towns, drawing crowds before radio or television existed. Middletown didn't just watch the game, they lived it. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
The Details:
Arched white serif text reads "MIDDLETOWN" above a cartoon orange character wearing a baseball cap and holding a bat, with a small blossom beside it. White block text reads "NY 1909" and "BALL CLUB" flanking the mascot. Flowing orange cursive reads "Orange Blossoms" above smaller white text reading "EASTERN ASSOC."
