Middletown's Orange Blossoms played in the Eastern Association around 1909, representing a small New York city during baseball's deadball era. Semi-pro and minor league clubs like this one were the lifeblood of their towns, drawing crowds before radio or television existed. Middletown didn't just watch the game, they lived it.
