Red Barber brought baseball into American living rooms through WOR Radio in New York, becoming the voice of the Brooklyn Dodgers starting in 1939. Sponsored by Feigenspan Ale, his weeknight broadcasts at 9:15 turned sports talk into a nightly ritual. Before television changed everything, a voice on the radio was how a city fell in love with its team. Part of our Defunct Baseball collection, inspired by the vintage Minor League teams of yesteryear.
