The Royal Palm Hotel in Miami opened in 1897 and stood five stories plus a salon floor overlooking Biscayne Bay. As the city’s first modern resort it featured elevators, electric lights, a swimming pool, a grand veranda, and over 450 rooms and suites with game rooms and a ballroom. It declined after the 1926 hurricane and termite damage and was demolished in 1930. This retro vintage design was inspired by the vintage hotels & resorts of yesteryear.
