Scandia stood as the crown jewel of Sunset Boulevard dining from the 1940s through the late 1980s. West Hollywood's elite gathered beneath its Scandinavian elegance, where old Hollywood power deals were struck over smorgasbord and aquavit. Some restaurants feed a city, but Scandia helped define the culture of the Strip itself. Part of our Vintage Restaurant collection, celebrating the classic American menus of yesteryear.
The Details:
White heraldic crest depicts two rampant lions flanking a shield with a stylized "S," three small crowns above, and decorative hearts below. White blackletter text reads "Scandia" beneath the crest, followed by wide-spaced white serif text reading "RESTAURANT." Italic white serif text at the bottom reads "9040 Sunset Boulevard."
